Dr. Shakir is not only an extremely talented and experienced surgeon, she is a lovely human being! I had a microphlebectomy (vein removal) with her seven weeks ago and it was such a good experience. I was extremely nervous to have the procedure but she explained everything so well and really put my anxieties to rest. I had no pain during the procedure and recovery was no big deal because she was so thorough with aftercare. We're very lucky to have such an esteemed and compassionate expert in this field right here in Lake Oswego. I had been wanting to get the spider veins on my legs treated for many years but didn’t know who to go to. I finally chose LOVA and I am so pleased with the results so far. My veins were pretty bad and in need of three treatments. Being very afraid of needles kept me nervous about any treatment but it was not necessary. Dr. Shakir was so gentle and kind. I had nothing to fear. I’m going into summer with new confidence wearing my shorts. I even decided to give a little bit of Botox a try in my forehead. I am shocked that I barely felt it. I had my large varicose vein removed and Dr. Shakir made me comfortable when I was pretty nervous for the procedure. I have a pretty high pain tolerance but this was pretty painless. Dr Shakir also did some Botox and laser therapy on me as well. I had spider veins too. I highly recommend her for any treatment. She is professional and very knowledgeable. I trust her and I tell everyone who is interested about LOVA! She has a lot of services available besides Botox, varicose veins, spider veins, and laser treatments. She also does face lifts, skin tightening, she has a naturopath that works there too, and a lot of other cosmetic procedures. I will definitely be returning!! ~ Ell J
